Quality Markers

Hospitals that have the following quality markers in place are more likely to successfully attain the goal of the right care for every person every time.

Physician Champion:
A physician who has widespread support to promote, implement, and build consensus on quality efforts.

Project-specific Quality Improvement Team (must meet all criteria to be listed):
A dedicated multidisciplinary team, which includes front line staff that has authority for making changes.

Data Transparency (must share with all groups to be listed):
Collected data routinely shared with executive leadership, the governing board, physicians, and front line staff.

Appropriate Care Measure:
Standing orders for all at-risk pneumonia patients to receive a pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine.
