2008 Hospital Quality Award Criteria

To receive an award, a hospital must rank at or above the 75th percentile in the HealthInsight national rankings based on the Hospital Compare data updated in June 2008.

Recognition for Excellence in Quality Improvement

HealthInsight recognizes that although not all hospitals will receive a Quality Award, all hospitals are working to improve the quality of care their patients receive. Consequently, beginning in 2008 we will publicly recognize those hospitals that have increased their national ranking by 25% or more between June 2007 and June 2008 (based on Hospital Compare data and HealthInsight rankings.)
