Choosing Quality Health Care
Quality measure information is one indicator of care to consider when
choosing a nursing home for yourself or a loved one. Use information
from other consumer resources as well. A variety of information can
also help you define quality for yourself according to what is most
important to you.
When visiting a nursing home, take a “guide” or checklist, it
will prompt you to ask pertinent questions that will help you choose quality
health care. You can make quality health care choices by becoming an informed
consumer.
