HOME ► Performance of the Healthcare Systems in Nevada and Utah Performance of the Healthcare Systems in Nevada and Utah The system measures chosen for inclusion in this report are intended to represent the performance of our healthcare system across the Institute of Medicine’s six aims for improvement (safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable). This report comprises a variety of measures including individual and composite measures to broaden the spectrum of care. In addition, different dimensions of care including measures that reflect various types of care (preventive, acute and chronic), settings of care (hospitals, ambulatory care, and nursing homes), and a variety of clinical conditions are incorporated. Data used to calculate these measures are derived from various national sources such as the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) State Snapshots and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital, Nursing Home, and Home Health Compare websites.
