The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes objective home health outcomes information to help consumers make more informed decisions about home health care. This information is one indication of how well home health agencies succeed in helping patients to achieve their highest level of independence in the home. In addition to using resources in the community, consumers can access information about the quality of care of home health agencies by visiting www.medicare.gov, scrolling down to select “Search Tools” and clicking on “Compare Home Health Agencies in Your Area” or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
